Anyone in or near Texarkana?

Buddy of mine went to Tennessee to pick up his freshly painted Grand National from his cousin and got about half way home and the car started running REALLY bad...backfiring, blowing out black smoke, hesitating. He had to get a hotel room in Texarkana. He THINKS its the mass air meter..but has no scan tool. He ordered one at Autozone but it wont be there till tomorrow. Anyone near there with T-Link or Directscan...or any scanner?
If he cant get it going he says he's gonna rent a Uhaul Dolly...get it home...and then sell the car.
