anyone know our turbo temperatures?

I was interested in cleaning up my compressor housing, and maybe coating it ... Anyone have an educated guess on how hot they get? If not, has anyone here coated theirs with an 'over the counter' type spray can coating?

I see that in totally stock form, there seems to be some sort of really high quality clear sprayed on from the factory I'm guessing, cuz the feel of the surface is really smooth, despite the really pitted finish... Am I guessing this right?
