I have a '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee (2 wheel drive) with the 4.0 IL6. Great vehicle and has been rock solid! Just changed out the power brake booster due to a diafram leak (hissing) and discovered a sensor/ connector afterwards that I didn't unplug and can't find where it goes? It's located off the main wiring harness very near the brake booster/ master cylinder. Everything works well with no codes after the repair but I'd like peace of mind about this male connector. Here's a pic:
Log into your local public library online and with your library card number you can go to the refernce section and look at the shop manuals. You can download anything and print the wiring diagrams for your vehice.
I'm on there but have very few posts over the years due to the Jeep being such a great SUV! I posted yesterday and they think the same. I'll relook it later today when the better half comes back from work. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

well, maybe I should have went and looked before I posted.....I don't see the wire anywhere....maybe I'm thinking of a different car....I know i've seen that on one of these junkers around here....I have the same motor its got 250k on it still runs strong except for tranny started acting up a few days ago
It is the master cylinder brake level sensor and it plugs on the side of the MC. Very hard to see the place it plugs into with all bolted on. I pulled a pic off the auto parts website and saw it there on the side of the resorvoir. Thanks everyone!
