Anyone painted T wheels?

Was going to put GTA's on my T but really starting to like the look of the factory T wheels. Problem is, they clear is in bad shape and the machined portions are looking a bit yellow.

I dont really want to dump a ton of money into these as far as powdercoating, has anyone painted them with regular old silver wheel paint? I painted the turbines on my wifes 90 Mustang GT and they came out great. Just wondering if the rough aluminum would cause a problem.

I sprayed one of mine. Trying to keep a stockish appearance. Came out a little bright but then again, my reference was dull old rims...
