yes sir, they're not as popular around here as the M/T or M&H but i love mine. got about 3k street miles on them, they hook great once warm, haven't had them on the track yet. i liked that they were available in 275 and 295 widths, i have 275's on gta wheels with plenty of clearance-

I RUN THEM .. HEAT IS THE KEY . I GET MINE FROM TIRECLUB OUT OF MICHIGAN FOR ABOUT $130. A TIRE ..I ALSO RUN THE R888'S ON THE STREET, VERY SOFT AND STICKY .

Do they hold traction on the street shifting from first to second? I'm looking at going to 18 inch wheels but I need to find a tire that will hold traction on the street.

Not really, but theyre light years stickier than any regular street radials... Its gonna be tough for you to find any 18" tire that will do what you're looking for, a big soft sidewall and sticky compound is key. If you're hell bent on 18's then i'd go for em, they hook as well as any dot legal tire is going to. With your level of mods you'll probably still break it loose at will but itl be an improvement-

i have them also, way better then nittos imo,not quite as good as MTs but not far off (i have all 3)..plus the 275-45-16s look good on a scarce 16in rim which i have..

I have not found any tire that hooks on the street and I run a 15" wheel&tire combo......I have run the Nitto 555r's which I like due to the full tread and long lasting.....they work well at the track dropping the air pressure and heating them up no no they dont hook on the street. I am currently running the 275/60/15 MickyT dr work great at the track but still spin on the street

In my experience once you get to a certain level of power no tire is gonna hook on the street.......I also run a 325/50/15 on my vette which I can spin no problem on the street but lower thae air pressure put a lil heat in them at the track and they break rear end parts.....ask me how I knowo_O
