Thinking about buying a H218-215 Lunati cam from GSCA, Is there anyone running this cam..

knocking hard

We tried the club lunati cam and had lots of problems with false knock retard. Even tried GM lifters and adjustable valve train, still had problems. Lunati lobes sit further down in the lifter bore and a designed to be fast ramp. I went to a roller and the noise was gone. The lunati cam landed up in the trash. Go with either a Erson, Comp or Crane they have way better lobe design. Hope this helps.

LUNATI 200 200 im my 86 T top and no issues so far about 11,000 miles. No false knock either.

cam

IMO, there much better cams available than the Lunatis that the Club sells--better prices also.
Talk to Kip, he is right across the river from you.

I had a 200 Lunati that went flat in my car. I used a 212-212 Comp to replace it. That 212 worked good and the 204-214 i sell makes good power too for alot less $$$ Frank

I ran the GSCA Lunati 210-205 for several years, Ran mid 10's at 130 mph with it. I absolutely loved that cam. Quiet operation and good idle. If I didn't go roller ( which by the way is much noisier ), I'd still have that flat tappet in my car. Some blocks are noisier than others ( most likely lifter bore differences ). As far as asking how it lasted----there are too many valve train, and break in differences, so don't worry about other guys horror stories about ANY cam. I wouldn't worry in the least about buying a GSCA cam. Brian

If I had to pick a new flat tappet today,I would use the 204 214. It's got a good rap and I have it in two engines that I've built in the last 2 years and no problems. I am building one this spring and I plan on using it.

I too went with the Lunati (GSCA) 210-205. Love every aspect of it. No issues. (knock on wood).

Steve V is right, lots of good things about the 204 214 cam. Many have gone fast with that cam and no issues. I know those lunnies have had flat lobe syndrome. Cut open your oil filters to see if there is metal shaving in there. Wish you all good luck running the lunnie cams through.

If you are interested my friend in the club has a spare Comp 218 still in the box that he's been wanting to get rid of.

Might save you a couple of bucks!:D

Maybe I'm missing something here. Why would you even consider a cam with more exhaust duration on a turbo motor, when there is increased back pressure in the exhaust? At the very least, stay with a single pattern.

Well, i`m starting my winter project (CAM REPLACEMENT ) and i want to try something different right now i`m running a 224/224 cam and i want something that has alot of low end torque and can get my car in the 10`s.......and the club cam was suppose to be a 10 sec. cam

Y-hate, I am refering the the 204-214. The 218-215 has less exh. duration, which I prefer. Brian

what?

Hi!
I'm pretty green when it comes to camshaft specs. For a street racer, what is best? I'm running stock stuff, with an set of 009s and a TA 49 turbo. Would any stuff improve this?
Thanks, Dale

Been hearing a lot of people running the 204/214 what are some times people run, is it in the 10`s???

What size turbo do Redshotair have and how much boost was he running??just curious

Not sure i think a 70 turbo and it went 133mph too i think and this is with stock size valves in the heads. SO NOBODY can tell me this cam doesn't work just fine, IT"S PROVEN!!!

Who makes this cam??and i have a smaller turbo te-45 so i no i cant make that much power
