Anyone seen a brake vacuum pump like this?

Here is the vacuum brake setup on my car, it has wildwood front disc and this funny looking pump on it.

yes some normally aspirated engines with large cam may not make enough vacuum for power brakes. that pump makes vacuum in these cases. If your engine makes good vacuum you prob don't need the pump.

I agree. No big lumpy cam, then no need for it. It is interesting though.
