Anyone spot a new Ford GT??

well today on my journey to work... i spotted a GT (GT40) on the road! i was suprised... no cover ups on it at all just didnt have any badges...

it was dark blue with 2 white stripes... the blue looked very nice and it was moving too fast to notice the wheels but they were nice and big! probably 18s or 19s

i turned on my digital camera (i was the passenger today) and it was loading and all of a sudden the car got an opening in traffic and jumped on it a little and poof... it was 20 cars ahead... we tried to get closer to snap a pic but i kept getting the windshield glare but i was pleased just to see it!... dont know how common it is or what not


i saw it on the Southfield freeway about 1 mile away from the Ford rd exit... real close to the dearborn headquarters...

just sharing my experience and wondering who else has seen 1!

Yup, saw one on the way to work this morning. Think it was grey and black. Was just about to the Ford dealership so it might have been coming from there.

Pretty cool looking car. My wife said "nice Fiero"

I seen one maybe 2 months ago on the highway going the opposite direction, it was silver with blue strips i think.
The thing that surprised me the most was that i havent seen one since and i wasnt even aware they were out at that time.

I am not a Ford guy but would take one of those in a heart beat

I believe there's one here on Oahu. Car's like that are always under the garage, only to be taken out...like once a year. or something like that. If I owned a GT40?...I'd let it strut it stuff and take it to the local circuit track every chance I get. It's what it was bred for.

Actually my local Ford dealer has a GT in the showroom as we speak. It is Red w/ White Stripes. Sticker of about $156,000. Has a white one coming as well. My uncle is in the sales department there and said they had already recieved a check for over $200,000 for the car. The owner simply sent the check back and is taking bids on the car. Looking for around $300,000 the word is.
The cars are neat and all, but that is rediculous!
