anyone use a Gtech pro?

well i got 1 as a gift for my birthday this past week...

kinda fun to use and have tested out several vehicles already in the 1/4 and seem to be pretty accurate...

well i level it out and go on a flat and open road...
i am just disappointed becuase i cannot get better than a 14.3 on the stupid thing @108 mph
my 0-60 is always 6 somethin aswell

so i am wondering is that 6 seconds to 60 really killing the 1/4 or what

my tires suck and i cant launch even with a pound of boost so that is why 0-60 really bad

i am just wondering eveyones past experience and if a 14 1/4 is normal with a slow 0-60

yeah that sounds about right, Gtechs usually mph at least 3 mph high because it takes your actual speed at the end of the 1/4 while a track averages your last 50 ft or something like that. It may be really close or a half second off , but they are consistant, so keep using it until you drop your 0-60s down into the high 4s and you will be set. Your 0-60 time is a reflection of how poor your 60fts are and every tenth int the 60 ft is 1.5 tenths in the 1/4. i would say your 60 would be close to a 2.3 or so with those 0-60 times but its all guessing till it goes to the track

ahh alright...

yeah that 0-60 is pathetic... ill try a nice heating up of the tires procedure tonight just to see if that helps... cant hold any boost w/o spinning... can hold about 1.5 psi tops and dont know if my brakes are bad or if just the bald tires wont hold...

The Vericom unit is much better than the Gtech and more accurate. I had one years ago and my car ran the same on the Vericom as it did at the track....

The old G-Tech isn't near as accurate as the new version (Comp series). I wouldn't trade my Comp unit for anything. Here's my last recorded run:

• 0 - 60: 4.17
• 1/4: 12.17
• MPH: 115.6

Made 5 runs with the old style g-tech at the track, it was no more than .06 seconds off of the timeslip. Some were within .01 seconds. I'd say that's pretty accurate.

As some of you know, he is from Sweden like me The values are in metric and not mph... but 1 mph is 1.609 km/h. Now remember... A Porsche GT does 0-200 km/h on 10.4 seconds lol.

I got a Tazzo meter and like it very much. No leveling required. Went to the track with it, mph was dead on everytime and et was only three 100th high. Right out the box. Traction plays a very important part on et. Concentrate and tune to mph while on the street.

Here's latest version: G-Tech "SS". Looks like they took the older "comp" model that I have and made an "SS" drag version and an "RR" roadrace version...

wow, mines from 94...

i still like it and use it sometimes. i think the best part about it is watching the g's when your driving in snow and ice.you can find out exactly where you will start sliding and stay under that #

but i was 3/10ths slower with it at the track in the 1/4. i think it had something to do with me not being able to launch it back when i used it. i was hitting 2.5 60 ft's it wasn't a smooth acceleration and it didn't understand that.

but it is consistant. i just wish it had 1/8th mile et and mph. finding a safe 1/4 mile isn't so easy to do, and its a ot of extra abuse on the car making 20 passes without time to cool down.
