We ran them in a G body with a 5 speed and a big inch BBC.Those delrin raced roto joins will never fail if you keep them clean.
Lots of seriously abusive hi rpm starts... Never a problem.

Thanks for the pictures!. I would like to go faster but 11.49 require roll bar? I have a low mileage car that i mostly cruise but I want to have a little fun with it too. Here are some pics I found on my phone.
Pic 1 zoom in close enough to see the upper arm.
Pic 2 is the lower arm and HR bar bracket.
Once they're setup and aligned etc, it's been worth the trouble to no longer spin the tires really.
BTW high 11s is somewhat easy for our platform these days and that goal will last until the next minute after you hit that time. LOL
Im going to absolutely disagree with this statementYou don't need to do anything illegal on the street,
Most of the racing is all 1/8 mileroll bar.
Dragy and 1/8 mile are enough
I have a draggy, just haven't found a good area next to me to try it. I have been tuning on the freeway on ramps. There is a long on ramp near me with a little incline so it builds boost and I can record and monitor everything with powerlogger. Most of the racing is all 1/8 mile
And the draggy is spot on especially in et
I said the same thingThanks for the pictures!. I would like to go faster but 11.49 require roll bar? I have a low mileage car that i mostly cruise but I want to have a little fun with it too.
The car will see a lot more road miles than track runs. We drive it every chance we get. My daughter rides in the back and is very comfortable. Just cant do the roll bar. High 11s to me is plenty fast for a bone stock looking almost 40 year old car. I will build another car if I want to go faster. There will always be faster cars. Hellcats and Mustangs are dime a dozen and never even worth my time. The high 11s is just a personal goal. I work on european cars for a living. If I wanted to go fast and turn I would just get a newer BMW and throw a down pipe and tune and its in the low 10s and no roll bar required. If I wanted to go fast in a straight line I would just get a coyote f150 4x4 and slap a blower on it. I love the old grand national for what it is its history of being the fastest car of its time and does decent years later, however it will never be reliable, fast and safe like modern cars.I said the same thing
Track said slow it down are go home
I went home and I'm installing a Bar and all the necessary parts to go 10.0 but I have had this car over 10 years and I'll keep it for the rest of my life.
this is way to fun wiping up on mustangs and hell cats
I'm getting it done with nonadjustable upper and lower UMI poly and HR bar
Take all the time you need and enjoy your low milage car and if you enjoyed yours as much as I have mine it won't be a low milage car for ever.
