Trying to gain some space in our laundry/furnace room. I know you are probably screwed when one or the other applicance gives up the ghost but really like that you can fit two appliances in the footprint of one. Anyone using them? The dryers might be too tall for my wife though who is only 5' 1".

I have a Kenmore front load washer and the gas dryer sits ontop, You can use them either way so if you don,t like the stacked positions you can go back to normal. This set up has been running strong for over 5yrs.

The name brand "stacked" washer/dryer are quality units. Repair parts and labor can be more expensive, but the space savings is worth the added cost.

Space saving is what I am after. Moving our hot water heater and making room to add a half bathroom is the goal.
