Ive been in touch with the casting director and he is interested in getting some GNs on,Any one wanna step up?

I would love to,if I can ever get it finished.

I would rather race for cash, instead of losing my car.I ain't stupid, but stuff happens.

How about pitting two TR's against each other, that way it wouldn't be too bad if you lost.

I would go on with another buick guy.We could make arrangements like that one race that they put up some parts or whatever. After all I have gone through to get this motor finished and put the car together again....I would have to kill myself if i lost it.

I've already got too many cars in my garage and I would hate to have to build yet another one.

I don't think anyone with a TR fast enough to win on that show is going to race for titles.

Otto, I thought I read somewhere that you don't lose your car?

i know 2 people that definetly di lose their car,But i have been told some guys make deals before hand

2 of my freinds have been on the show before.. both guys made a cash race out of it for $1000.. one raced his mustang and the other guy had a mustang too... Only Ford guys are that dumb..

I'm failing to see the "dumb" part there? Neither guy wanted to lose his car, so they made a deal to race for cash which still allows the show to go off as planned. Like the 'Busa guys did. Whats dumb is people spending insane amounts of money building cars to go on the show. Like these guys sporting multi thousand dollar paint jobs. My sh!t would be Earl Schieb'd all the way. It would look plenty good for TV and wouldn't cost much.

My buddy and I have seriously considered going on there with a contract written beforehand stating the winner must sell the loser his car back for $500 or something. Because now YOU DO LOSE YOUR CAR. Last year alot of people got to keep their cars, but it has changed.

We'll see how my car runs whenever I get it back, and my buddies car will need a paint job to be on TV. I think it would be awesome!

Sounds pretty reasonable to me! :D

60 minutes of fame for $1,000 sounds like something I'd do....

Show location is always an issue.

If they taped the show near Chicago, they would be flooded with people willing to go on the show. Union Grove, or Joliet would attract a bunch of guys. I will say this though, the negotiating heard by people around here will not be anything like what u hear on the show.

yeah, they have no control over what happens after the shows over. go on, win the other car or loose youres, than a week later give the car back, simple, they dont need to know. throw some money, a trans, motor, whatever on it to sweeten the deal if you want, simple. thats what i would say to do. dont have a TR, yet, but i could show up for, tire changer, wrench turner, vht guy, whatever. tell me when and where.

Doesn't the show BUY BOTH cars ahead of time? Honestly I would rather see a $$ race than losing your ride.

If I was on the show & happend to win (which won't happen) I would just hand the guy back his keys if I beat him.

i was listening to the radio show they do after the show, they talk a lot about the show and the rumors and stuff. he repeatedly said the the people that come on get absolutly nothing, they even have to pay for their own hotel rooms!!! the only thing they get is the car they win and the tv time. thats why most of the cars come on with stickers plastered all over them. that was something rich christenson said he fought for when he was getting to show okayed, because he said the racers need to get something for being on the show. thats what they get. 30 minutes of national tv advertising. it was the first time i heard the radio show, but they talk a lot about things like that on it. it was pretty good.
