Apartment Renting Question

Hey Guys-
I'm about to move and get a new apartment. I don't have much experience with this, I've only rented a house and this horrible apartment that I currently live in. So the big question is: What's a loft?

I thought it was just a big studio, but this one I'm looking at says it's a loft with bedrooms?

"loft" is a nice term for "we're sticking you in the attic! Sometimes the're pretty cool though.

The one I'm looking at is actually pretty nice according to the pictures. HUUUUGE common area and two bedrooms off to the side. Looks like a good way to live (as a bachelor).

I'd have plenty of room to have an engine in the kitchen :biggrin:

When my wife and I were dating she lived in a town house with some room mates. This place was 3 levels with 2 bedrooms (ea with full bathrooms) on the bottom floor, living area, 1/2 bath and 2 car garage in the ground floor and a really nice loft with a full bath on the 3rd level above the kitchen and garage area. The only bad thing about the loft was that all of the heat rises and there was no wall on the front part which kinda sucked for her upstairs room mate. I thought it was very nice.
