I have replaced MAF, coil pack, o2, & wires very recently. My car runs great until I have driven it about 5-10 miles. Then it starts to miss occasionaly when I leave from stop signs. Then it starts stalling at traffic lights. This is all intermittent mind you. I can punch it to WOT and go to 100mph+ with no problem sometimes and others times it will miss. I already have a new one on order but I dont see what else it could be since I firmly believe it is heat related. Unless it is the ECM:eek:

Man these cars are getting to be a pain in the a$$. I'm going thru the same bull*&^&, only different symptoms. Isn't it funny that when you have a problem like this, you always have to spend $300-$400 to fix it, and no matter what part you replace, that didn't do it. Sorry, dude, just venting.

To answer your question, sounds like it could either be the module or a short in the wiring harness. More than likely, your module. Did you have the motor out? If so, there's a chance you pinched I wire somewhere in the process of putting it back together.

Good luck. I hope you figure your's out. I'm gonna fix mine with 5 gallons of gas and a lighter.

This is where it really helps to have a coilpack/module tester form Casper's[John Spina].Be sure to spend the extra for the plug wire testers as well.Works fabulously.Best $100+ dollars I ever spent on the car.As to your problem could be the module, but without a tester.....:(

when my original module went a few years ago it just stalled and sometimes took a few minutes to restart.. It sure sounds like you are experiencing the same thing. Replace it. Its cheap and easy..:) BUT go with a Delco if you can..

ignition module

When mine went out, it gave me no warning. Car just wouldn't start. Happened a week after I replaced the coil pack. Go figure. Car had 150,000 miles on it and both were original.

Thanks for the replys. I ordered mine from Ramchargers so I do not think it will be a Delco (their coil packs are not)

Today I removed the rubber seal at the back of the hood to try to let air flow over it and keep it cooler. I think it helped. I drove about 25 miles and it only missed twice. It didnt miss when I blew my Up pipe/TB hose at 22psi:D

I will be getting it tomorrow and will let you guys know.
