I have one of the above and the casting seems to be porus and it leaks slightly ,,is there a coating (paint primer) that I can use to seal the inside of the pan.

I had the same problem with mine. Took it to a machine shop with a wide belt sander and they refaced it for me, used a new cork gasket and no more leaks. It seemed to be slightly raised around where the bolts holes were drilled.

It does not leak by the gasket surface but thru the alu itself ..it seeps thru slowly with time in certain places.:frown:

Hmmm, that is odd. It must be a bad casting or something, did you try to send it back?

Snowbird you can try some Epoxy paint on the inside of the pan. Just make sure you pressure wash it, steam pressure washer if possible. Lay it out in the sun or put it in a oven to heat it up to see if any oil seeps out & to dry it. Then clean it with Brake parts cleaner to make sure all the oil is off before painting. Maybe use some clear epoxy on the outside also.
