Yep, real easy to jump to conclusions, and assume the worst about people.
I'll wait to have ALL the facts before I pass judgement on anyone.
I kind of go along with the innocent until proven guilty concept.
Has everyone ignored that the bad guys are real crazies over there?. The Geneva Convention, was written eons ago, and was meant to deal with somewhat normal folks. Nice in concept, but it's not practical at times. When your actually in jeapardy it takes a new meaning to what serious really is. Yep, 10 died in custody, oh well, if it saved a cut finger on an American GI, it was worth it in my book.
Remember it was folks like were fighting over there that killed about 3,000 Americans that were just sitting in their offices one day. 3,000.
I guess I'm not one for being Politically Correct. When it comes to war, there are lots of disgusting things that happen.
Like Bin Laden's said Americans just don't have the stomach for war. Hmmm.
Nor am I saying we need to just ignore what happened, but let's keep things in perspective.
And McCanna, is kind lost on the subject matter, while he was a POWWOW, he missed out on the battlefield mutalations that went on. So while he didn't like what he got, he ignores what was happening on the ground, while he was flying over the ground war. Ya, being a POWWOW ain't fun, but the basic concept of war is killing the other guy, surprise, surprise. When you see your pals die you loose a lil of your objectiveness about matters. Well, if you cared about them anyway.
Feinstein, and the likes of her, are only heard from when in a state of outrage. Hmm, quiet while some of the GI families are on Welfare, and then yacks about POWWOW treatment to make the evening news, ya, OK.
Oops, time for meds.........
