ATR Cold Air Box

Hey guys I just installed the Atr Cold air box with the Big 14" K$N filter inside it. The car has seen a major improvement in spool up and acceleration with vitrually no knock. I have seen alot pf posts on this site about "ram air" kits being more of a restriction. I have found this to be true since I recently tried the ram air set up. I also like the way the K&N is eclosed in the box receiveng fresh cold air from outside and not absorbing alot of heat from the engine compartment. I reccomend this set up to anyone. It's not a bad set-up and can improve performance on the street where engine heat can hurt, but at the track, there was no increase in performance between the 14" ATR cold air (or even cyclops ram air setup) and my 6.5" K&N stuffed inside a modifed factory airbox. If there was I'd still have the ATR stuff on my car.

The 14" cone K&N in the kit isn't all that great because it has a crappy venturi. A 6.5" filter with a proper venturi will flow more air.

so what it still works. how much would one expect to pay for a cold air box and filter nowdays?
