Digging thru some boxes in my garage today & found an old school “ATR” TPS Tester.
Can anyone recall how this works ?
Am unsure how to hook it up to check

Thanks in advance

That’s cool!!

I didn’t have the ATR tester, but did make a connector to set the TPS before the invention of the Scanmaster.
I believe the ATR tester goes in between the engine harness plug and the TPS (in line).
Using a volt meter you can check between the ground and 5VDC to verify supply voltage.
Check between the ground and out to verify the TPS setting (.38-.46 idle, above 4.5 wide open).

My guess is this would be for the ‘86- ‘87 TPS as the ‘84- ‘85’s are different (pinned different maybe?).
