I am trying to build a 3" LT1 MAF donor vehicle cross-reference database.
When TurboBob originally designed the Translator, he used Impalla MAF's because that's what he had a bunch of to play with at the time.
Going from the GM part #25180303 for the 3" Impalla MAF, it cross-references to the Delco part #213-352.
There are apparently 239 cross-reference matches using the Delco #. (All kinds of engine sizes and vehicles) Of those only a few have been tried.

I am asking if you didn't get your 3" LT1 MAF new or from GM, to list the donor vehicle it came from. This will help out Bob with an accurate database, and others who are looking for donor vehicle MAF's.

Thanks :)
Paul

I have a 3" out of a 1996 Caprice. I've been trying to sell it forever, I don't need it! I shouldn't have spent the $60 on it.

3" IMP MAF from MM. for sale, stepping up to the 3.5

3" is good into 10's but with Bob B.'s advice going to the 72's
the extender chip will work better with the 3.5

and I have the big TE45 turbo, and GN1 heads with a roller so it will probably help a bit.

cheap to go faster IMHO, both the 3" and the 3.5" LS1 maf are better flowing than stock, ez and cheap to obtain.

I also have a nice stock MAF that works very well.

don't need but one MAF!!!

Come on guys... Has nobody pulled a 3" LT1 MAF off a different donor vehicle than the Impalla or Caprice? Is everybody saying they all bought new LT1 MAF's or LS1's ???

Paul :)

I know some that got them used from Camaros, Impalla, Caprice, and TurboBuick.com parts for sale section. I think most purchased them new. I did anyway.

I have a 66-1 and am going to use the big mouth 4 inch kit, so i bought a 4 inch maf from ls1motorsports, it is for the ls1 cars, but i think the 6.0L truckes come with them. Anywho, i hope it works, i asked some people and they say that it should.

I would think that there are plenty of 3" MAF's out there from various cars. The calibration is different for each one I would imagine.

I could check my 2000 Malibu to see if its 3".
