Augusta, GA: questions

All,

I was just offered a job in Augusta. Perhaps some locals can chime in and answer me a few questions:

1. Can you jet ski on the river?
2. I am an avid road cyclist - are there cyclists in the area?
3. I have a sixth grader - how are the schools?
4. Any TR folks in the area?

1. the only place I ski.
2. every tues and sat very large group rides about 30miles....smaller longer rides on other nights
3. don't have kids...no help on this one...

If I knew someone with a boat (hint, hint) to yank me around on a slalom ski, then I guess I could really ski the river (LOL)...

I also have a job offer in the midwest - I need to see how the offers are going to stack up before making a decision.

I appreciate everyone's input thus far.

if u move to augusta columbia county schools are the best and there is also a lake right outside of augusta

We couldn't come to an agreement on salary, so it looks like I am headed to San Antonio versus Augusta.
