Auto Meter tach hookup help please

Ok i got an Auto Meter Sport Comp 3903 tach and was wanting to put it in my 85 GN. Where's the signal wire?!?!? I cant find one that gives off the signal. Any help appreciated. Thanks

There should be an unused green wire with a black connection on the drivers side near the coil pack. If it's not there, try looking on the driver's side wheel well near the windshield wiper motor. That is where mine is.

I have an 84 gn the wire that reads the rpm (coming from the tach should be green ...on mine it was but it was a sunpro) goes to the white wire or D terminal imprinted on the plastic plug of the wires that goes to the coil pack take out the one bolt if u cant find the D terminal and look underneath the plastic plug there should be a D imprinted on there tap into that and you should be good to go after you hook up the power good luck let me know what happens
