Hello All-

I went to O'Rielly's to get some Autolite #23's but the part number was apparently updated to # 27's. I decided to purchase them and upon arriving home I noticed they are pre-gaped to 40 degrees. I need to set to 27-28 degrees. Did I purchase the wrong plugs and if so where can I buy the correct ones?

Thanks

I think they sold you the wrong plug. Should say 23.

Take them back and get NGK UR5s.

So the plug is stamped with Autolite 25

That plug is too hot for our engines. With the mods you have the Autolite 144 is a better choice. It is between the 23 & 24 in heat range, but has a non-extended tip. I order them from RockAuto as it is a marine engine plug.

In the NGK world the BR6FS (4323) is a cross to the 144.
