kirban 2 cents worth

I used to sell them before it was AVC it was known as Quality Engineering.....if I recall they had 2 versions depending on what your application was digital dash or standard (analog). In other words appearance was the same and the harness or something was slightly different.

Again just going by memory....

Your price is fair.....as they seldom come up for sale intact.

I would need a different bezel because of rear window defogger switch next to remote mirror hole. Is it possible to use my dash bezel with this?

Use the same bezel. Hole is already there for mirror. Its just covered over. Can send pics if needed. It uses a stock bezel that is cut out for an insert that fits into it.

Just so I understand...You are saying the bezel that comes with the AVC gauge cluster has the hole for the rear window defogger switch? It is just covered up?

I believe that most or all regal gn gnx t-type gauge bezels have the hole in the plastic you just change the applique to fit your need, wich dennis/KIRBAN sells.

You cut out the speedo center in a stock bezel. They give you an insert that fits in the hole that you cut out. If you pull your bezel out, you will see holes in the back for every option. Overlay front laminents "cover" the holes. Kirban sells the different "covers". Check their web sight.

PM sent. I'll take it. The mileage on the odometer is scary..... within a hundred miles of what mine reads. perfect!

I'm a little disappointed that the odometer is not functional as I stated in the PM. Looks like no choice other than pull the speedo and send it for repairs. Don't think I got the quality that I expected.

speedo

Like I said, I never used it. I sold it for what I had in it. If it will make you happy, I will split the cost to repair the odometer. I dont want any body pissed off. Jack

That's more than fair. thanks.

I'm searching for a reasonable repair charge, I'll keep you posted. If you know of any place that's reliable and reasonable, let me know.

Speaking from experience....Only one place that I'd send it to get fixed.....North Hollywood Speedo and Clock ......they did a bang up job on refurbishing my mechanical VDO speedo.

They are located at 6111 Lankershim Blvd. North Hollywood, CA 91606 Tel. 818-761-5136 Fax. 818-761-4857

North Hollywood Speedometer and Clock Company. Serving your gauge needs since 1955. VDO, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Veigel, Veglia

Give them a call first to get an estimate.

If you send it there, you can be assured it will be fixed right!
