Axles?

Who has blown up a Moser Axles w/clips and eaton posi?
And has anybody had bad luck with this setup?

Planning on doing the rear end but I want to do it right the first time with 8.5 axle

Car will be setup with transbrake and Atr rear bar, metco upper and lower control arms, moroso drag springs. Don't know on the shocks yet

I had the Moser axles 30 spline and c-clip eliminators. The splines of the axles twisted (at the time I was running an 11 sec. car with 1.60 sixty foot) and the c-clip leaked. In switched over to the Ford ends and Tom,s axles and have not had a problem (now I run a 10 sec car with 1.50 sixty foot)in about 2 years. Tom,s Differential in Paramount,Ca. did the set up for me.
My understanding of the Moser axles is that they have a standard heat treated axle then it is cut on the end to accommodate the spline required but this distroys the heat treatment.

Ive had a set Toms axles in my car for about 1.5 yrs.Very good quality. I like their manufacturing process better than the Moser. Are they still in bussines? I hvent been able to find their website under their previous URL.
