I had thought fuel filters were designed with a check. Would it be advisable to install an in-line brass check valve just before or after the fuel filter?
I don't know the construction of the fuel pump. Do they have their own check valve?

Just trying to maintain full pressure on start up. Maybe my point is moot?
Any comments?

The fuel pump has a check valve in it already, sometimes they do go bad and will lose pressure quickly.

OK, makes sense why my pressure drops slowly and steadily. Guess no harm to install an in-line check valve then.
