I took the day off and pit the Turbo back on the Grand National finally !
Battery was stone cold dead do after a three hour charge and a oil change I got it cranked up and let it run about 30 minutes to warm up. It settled to a smooth 800 rpm idle per the chip setting IAC was about 35 and all was well. Only odd thing that I figure nothing was a bit of a tap I could hear at idle that was louder from the front of the car
That I boils hear with a screw driver on the water pump but no where else I probed. It's not loud and goes away when I raise the RPM up off idle a little .., maybe a lifter being lazy ?

Pop the belt off and start it to eliminate the accessories and tentioner. That's a quick and easy test. The next easy test would be to pull the valve covers and make sure you don't have a broken rocker shaft curling up on the end. Do you have rocker supports?

No supports but it's a stock engine with fresh valve springs. I don't hear the tap with a screwdriver from the valve cover area. I'll drive it today and see how it sounds since its been setting for about 3 months.
