Hi guys just wanna share my pre3800 Buick powered GM holden vn v6 berlina


engine spec are
L27
cast block simlar to usa front wheel driver engine with cast caps arp main studs
cast crank, scat turbo rods 5.960, Turbo buick Je forged pistons
crow cams 231/228@50 115+2 510lift icl 112.5 yella terra roller rockers 1.6 ratio
front wheel drive heads decked and ported stainless steel 1.770 in 1.5ex valves.
bosch 1650 cc injectors

turbo G40 7170 .85 rear housing
38mm waste gate
3.5 inch single exhaust 2 mufflers and resonator


T56 6 speed lighten flywheel factory flywheel modified to suit a twin plate clutch.
borg warner 78 diff with 3.45 ratio 4wd locker and 28 spline billet axles.

best mph 127.4
best time 11.75 @ 121mph
with my old GT3582 1.06 housing and small regrind 212/212 112lsa 450 thou lift.

ecu us haltech gm sport plugin
car runs on pump e85 normally 20-25 psi boost.

haha yeah its bit of sleeper in australia these cars came with buick V6 NA they make 120HP -130HP at wheels or our own australian engine the HOLDEN 304ci v8 engine they made 170-200hp but you can make 500-600hp its shame we never got boost v6 from factory with holden but this clip of holden VN\VP at Bathurst this show why buick v6 don't get a lot of love over here in australia.

How well does the 3800 spool that 7170 turbo? What rpm are you hitting full boost?

im not sure how it would feel with auto i say it would spool quicker then mine setup being manual.

with my old stock bottom engine with cam 219/219 110 lsa cam and .95 housing it made 2.0 psi at around 3000-3300rpm make full boost around 22-25 psi at around 5300-5500 but it do in less then 2seconds it was serious very quick on the street had conrod let go off my injector duty cycle it was upwards of 550 hp.

same turbo have gone 1000hp at wheel with toyota 2JZ
