Bad converter..?

Would an incorrect stall or bad converter cause an off idle stumble?I've been trying to chase down this off idle stumble and was wondering if in fact it could be the torque converter.BTW I have an 9"ArtCarr p/n#19920 with a 3500 stall for a th400.

An off idle stumble?
I'd take a look at your TPS setting, and watch your Block Learn.
