I took my car out and got on it for the first time since a new motor install everything felt good no kr or anything I was just getting a ticking sound from what sounded like the intake only at wot is this a sign that my mass air is going? its a stock one so I wouldn't be surprised. or is it something with the tune?my combo is 212/212 roller cam, ported iron heads ,te44,rjc fmic, razors dual nozzle alky, turbo tweak chip, 3000 stall nlu, and a extreme auto stage 2

If it's the stock MAF there's a very good chance it needs replacing with modern MAF and a translator....

I am curious how you were at WOT and could narrow the noise down to the intake... and by intake, do you mean the intake manifold, or the ricer translation of intake meaning the filter piping?

my car isn't very loud. the noise just sounds like its coming from the drivers side just sounds like its coming from the filter piping. the noise is hard to explain I guess it could be coming from anywhere though everything is new except the mass air so I think im gonna try out a ls1 with a translator I started to run out of cash during the new motor install probably should of just bought it to begin with

Even if it's not the source of the noise, replacing the stock maf is not bad money spent. If it's not flaky yet it will be.

Have you welded up the crack in the drivers side header yet? And could the tick be an exhaust leak somewhere else in the tract that only shows itshelf at full honk?

Yep. There's been many reports of perfectly fine running cars with a stock MAF running better after swapping to a translator.
