hey guys, I need to see what the problem is i have a PTE GT67 turbo thats maybe 2 weeks old but my car's been smoking (white) through the exhaust for couple days and today I started up the car and looked under the hood and oil is leaking bad on the exhaust housing of the turbo where it connects to the header also on the downpipe to the turbo.

what do u think it is??? bad turbo seal?? I didnt think it was the turbo because its practically brand new.... or u think pcv valve is stuck open or something??

im pretty sure its one or the other because i know the smoke is from oil because i can see it leaking out of the exhaust side of the turbo where the downpipe meets and the header meets....

Pull the plugs on that side and see what they look like. Might get lucky......

plugs are clean..... it started smoking after when i replaced my valve springs and valve stem seals...

could it be the seals?? but would oil leak through the turbo like this?

PCV valve is easy to test. Just pull it out and blow in the top while holding it straight up so gravity keeps the flapper valve closed. If it flows, it's no good. A tiny bit of flow is ok. If its just a matter of sludge binding it up, flush it out with acetone until it rattles around freely when you shake it. I bought new PCV valve from autozone, and when I blew in the top, it would still flow through alot. Its just a crappy design. Get the real thing from AC delco.
Take your intake tube out and see if there is a bunch of oil in the compressor housing. I have a small bit of oil film, which Im sure is ok. If its really wet, the seal is shot. If its leaking on the exhaust side, the intake side would probably leak just as bad.
Are you sure the smoke is white? Even black smoke can look white if its really vaporized. Does it smoke just on startup, or all the time? Is it worse under boost?
I used to get a huge puff of black smoke on startup, but 1000 miles or so after installing a PCV catchcan, it has almost stopped. What worries me, is I always have a small amount of steam blowing out the pipes. I thought it was just from the cold weather, but it warmed up recently, and it still smokes.
