bad turbo

i have a couple of questions i hear that when a turbo goes bad they start to smoke..but where from under the hood or threw the exhaust and second do they tend to leak oil threw the pipes of the intercooler.. i found what looked like a oilie substance in my intercooler uppipe the other day which im hoping might be from the alky kit..

you start to burn a ton of oil.
when you put the pedal to the metal you WILL SEE a black cloud behind you.
BTW my turbo just died and it DIDN'T leak oil. and still doesn't leak oil
Look for shaft play and a higher then normal turbo pitch.
Well thats what happened to mines.

Do you have the PS breather kit? If not, and you can confirm it is oil in your uppipe then install the breather block off kit. I had a HOLE bunch of oil in my intercooler and hoses.....installed the kit and it's as dry as a chip in there now.
