HI,Did anybody install this disc brake system with hand brake on thier gn ,is it a bolt on ,do hand brake cables fit or must they be changed and where you happy with the performance of the product..

MY MY ,,,,I thought you where to busy to talk to me on the phone, and whats wrong with a good set of discs ,,I KNOW new technologie from the sixtys scares you:)

I have the Baer rear disk kit on my GN.

No handbrake however.

Comes with emergency foot brake cables that work just fine with the stock ratcheting system foot set emergency brake.

It's a complete kit.

Do you have to change the pro.valve and do the original emergency brake cables fit

You take a couple of parts out of the prop. valve for the rear brakes, easy to do and it comes with complete instructions and pictures.

You reuse the stock cables up to the midpoint of the car, then they give you new cables that work with the new disk brakes that attach with supplied hardware to that central point under the car.

It's a complete well thought out system.

Jack Cotton in Mass. sells them at a good price.

I did not change the prop. valve still using a steel one in the GN and my stock braked WE4 for that matter.

I do have a new brass one in case one ever leaks or fails however.
