Backfiring in the Turbo and TB when starting?
Hey y'all. When I go to start my car sometimes, 5 times out of 10 while turning it over to start it backfires in the turbo and throttlebody, and I see smoke coming from the hood when it does it. then it fires up and runs. I dont know why it does this. It has done it since I bought the car 4 years ago burt it only did it once in a blue moon. Now it seems to do it at least once a day. With the hood up, I and trying it, U see the smoke escape right from the turbo/throttle body section. Smells like someone lit a while heap of matches. When it does it, the boost guage goes to 15 psi boost for a split second. It also seems to blow off 1 or 2 vacuum lines on the throttlebody when it does it. Anyone have any idea whu this is hapening???
