Have not heard bag pipes since they were used in a AC-DC
song.

Back when I was a shipfitter at PNSY, we could go to other shipyards for an overhaul.In 1990 I went over to Scotland and worked for a couple months.I heard bagpipes a few times while I was there but ACDC, back in the 80's I listened to them endlessly. And in March of '90 when I got back from Scotland with lots of money I bought my first GN.

there are bag pipes playing at every funeral i go to. then again i'm in a 100% irish family. i also go to those pipe band competitions. they all march in formation playing the pipes and drums.

I work in a large corporate business park. There was this one guy (who was very obviously an amateur) who worked in the building across the street that would play them out in the parking lot at lunch time. Kinda sounded like someone stepping on a cat amplified so everyone in the area could hear. Wanna talk about annoying!!??
