Sorry after that Bakersfield fiasco I seemed to have temporarily lost my sense of humour. My last four trips to the track mainly to help & support others using up my time & money have been a disaster for stupid reasons.I guess when ever you expect someone to have the same perspective & values your setting yourself up for a bad day. It takes hard work to put these cars together & I expect results. When that doesn't happen I get menopausal.

LOL That's FUNNY!

yep, sound like it hopefully.. working out transporting cost now.. i have 2 guys that are really interested.. one in NC and the other in IL.. we will see, hopefully we can get something final by the end of next week..

Gary! you screwed up by running your car, You now are in the limelight & a target. After laying down that number there are those that will be gunning for you & want the glory to themselves. There is no turning back. Slicks, ported heads, cam, roll bar, steel main caps, girdle, NHRA licence etc.Your life savings blown & homeless. I've seen this time & again. At least you don't have a wife or girl friend that will tell you that it's either the Buick or them. You have now joined the ranks of Brent Ralph,Andrew,Bob, Morgan, Barnard, etc. They just live for that next E.T. slip. My prayers are with you. Underpriced Lou

My car is probably no longer deserving ot the "garage slut" title, but I will be quite happy, stoked, actually, with the car able to do 11.9's-12.0's in true street trim, 1.0 skid pad figure, & better braking, maybe discs on all 4 corners on 91 octane & alky, Michelin Sport Pilot tires, possible heads, small cam, intake I might allow, steel main caps as necessary, but never girdle or roll bar, cage, or tubs. That's my goal. Thanks for all of the work that you have done on the car, Lou, it is starting to pay off now. I have come to a point in my life that I actually like the car and am proud of it. Nuff said.

Sometimes I wish that I had seen the sense of settling down with some of the women that I have known, dated, & lived with, but it just didn't happen that way. I probably would help a better half buy a turbo buick, or maybe even buy one for a wife/girlfriend, or pay the major portion thereof, but sharing mine, even with a wife, is not in the cards. Learned my lesson once on that one, won't happen again. Men look at their car as a form of expression, even as an extension of their personality, women just look at the same car as a thing of jealousy. Basically, will he pick me or that damn car? is the way of most of them.

Rafael: I am a very strong believer in both marriage and family life. I would love nothing more that to have a nice wife/mate. but it is just not in the cards for me. In a normal relationship, both partners "test" the other partner in different ways. I meant nothing more than that. As a general rule, I do not like to drive someone else's car, and as a general rule, I feel the same about mine. You people that are married or in a caring relationship are very fortunate, and some of us are not so fortunate. I have come to realize that at my age, the last thing that I would want in life is to wake up to a female version of myself. That's hard for me to put into words, but that's the bottom line of it. I am not against marriage nor family life. It is the backbone of our society and it will produce our presidents, vice-presidents, and corporate leaders of tomorrow.

I saw what you looked like on that video from the cruise and I agree with you on this one, I also wouldn't want to walk up to a girl that looked anything like you next to me period, that would give me a heart attack and sent me to the grave sooner than I expect too. :) No punt intended just having a little fun.

I really wish I would've checked this forum before. I live in Bakersfield, dad has a stageII GN in the garage that has never seen the track, my car is down but I have a couple friends that would've attended.
