How many miles on the turbo? Any shaft play/intermittent smoke?

No shaft play at all. No smoke. Has about 5k on the turbo. Had a turbo saver on it also. Turbo is in good/excellent shape. Im going bigger, otherwise I would keep the turbo. It is a ball bearing turbo, so this is an easy 1500.00 or so unit new.

Sounds good. I will do some research on it. Do you think I would gain anything over my old school TE45A?

I am not having any luck finding this particular turbo on their site - can you point me in the right direction? http://www.turboneticsinc.com/gn_turbochargers

Looking at that site, it looks like under the Grand National selection, it is very generic and you would have to call and spec out what you want. Cotton performance was a dealer for Turbonetics for some time, so I imagine that is were this turbo came from. I know the owner of the car, previous to me had only driven the car a couple thousand miles, and everything was new. As for you picking up over a TE45a, that would be an interesting debate. That is a similar size turbo, although that turbo has a sweet spot for boost at about 30 psi or so, which is a little high for most people's taste. This turbo made good power @ 24 for me, with more left in it. It is also ball bearing, and spooled well for me, with only a 3200 stall..

Interested in trading the 66 turbo for a rebuilt T-70 with precision .85 exhaust housing-4" in/2.5" out 0 miles since rebuild.
