i have a blown te61.82 hosing 3500 stalll art car 9.5 convertor.......... i was wondering is ball bearing better than a normal turbo and is it worth it? how much more are they than normal...turbonetics of course.thxs greg

I'll tell ya, my Turbonetics T66 single BB is currently being driven with a stock D5 converter, drives fine and only has a very slight amount more lag than my TE44 which came off. 0-30 from dead idle at the same boost its only 2 tenths behind. I haven't even yet bothered to put in the ArtCarr 3000-3200 L/U that I have waiting.
I'm up to 20 psi in 1st/2nd and 18 higher on 93 octane with 20/18 timing and its running 3-6 tenths faster from 0-80 than the 44 at 17 psi which I could never run higher boost than that w/ no knock. Hopefully the gains will be even better in the higher MPH's. Changes were the T66 and 60 injectors so somethings working better for sure.

You should go bigger w/ the converter you have IMO.

In the ballpark at $1700 I would think for a Turbonetics.

Your choice however, I like my double ball bearing Innovative on my daily driver. :)

Call Jack Cotton for pricing and what one would fit your buildup.

I love mine. CPT-65 BB with an .82 housing ona modified D5 and it still gets going real quick, I wonder what a dual BB is like?

3200 stall and a GT 70. :)

No wild pulsations or snorting either like my TA62 did on the street.

Even works with a stock longblock, 425 HP on pump gas and alky. :D

Sweeeeeeeeet.

i like the setup i got now just want a te61 ball bearing or dual lookind around 2000 spend mycar is wicked on the street race gas all the time at 25psi

CPT-65 has a 61mm wheel, but on a big shaft turbo with a p-trim.

Call Cotton he'll try to work the best deal for you and he truly is a stand up guy.

I love it.
