battle with 2004 Z06 coming soon..

just like my thread says, i have an upcoming battle with an 04 Z06, the guy has exaust,intake and K&N for mods he will be running on radials, what will my car need to be set at to ensure a for sure kill... I wanna teach this rich Z06 boy a lesson he wont forget. BTW this is going to be a 1/4 mile run for $200.00 bucks.. and it will be on film.

I would go to the track and make sure your car will run high 11s.
If not run race gas, race chip, and turn up the boost.
If your car is tuned right it should run around 11.5-.7 with a 1.7 60ft with the alky.

if you haven't been to the track and seen high 11's, you will surely lose if running pump gas.......you have a high 13 sec car on pump gas (maybe)

not to mention, the DR's will do you no favors

I will be on alky and 24 psi with the American Racing tires 11.5 inch wide only at 14psi each, 23* chip and try not to spin them LOL. will that do it?..

We have a Z06 with similar mods that went 12.2 @ 119
This was with a 2001 with less power.
A newer car with headers went 11.8.

wow, i guess i do have some work to do, i am hoping he is going to spin with the radials he's got and i will get him from the beggining and he wont be able to catch up.

Hey Wiked, The Z06 is surely gonna run low 12s or better with the traction control On. Even if he does take you just remember it took him 35k more than your car to do it.

Well the only thing I can add is you had better hope he can't drive the Z06 very well . IF he can I dont see you beating him

Your setup will take him if you have it tuned correctly.
Look Quick is running @ 11.7 with a similar set-up but he has track & tuning time to get there. NoCooler is running better but runs more boost.

I will post the video up when the race happens, it will go down next week, i am going to put some 100 octane in the tank plus alky just to be on the safe side, and turn up the boost to 25psi, the car is tuned right, i run about 770/780's 02's with no knock on the big top end with the car still pulling hard as i hit 120 or so, i think this race is going to come down to traction, if i hook he will have a hard time catching me, anywhoo i will keep you guys posted. wish me luck.

on a another note, i race a 1995 ZR1 with even more mods than this Z06 a while back and i was running less boost (21 psi), and i whooped him by about 3 cars he spun bad and I hooked out of the hole, but after the 1/4 he went around me..
