I was wondering if anyone knew how that gauge worked...

The one in the lower right hand corner, says Turbo Power V6.

Has 3 lights, green yellow and red.

Does it work as a vacuum gauge? Is it basicly an economy gauge?

If so, I could make that work with a V8 right?

On second thought...

The yellow and red light are on under boost, which would be the reverse of vaccum, so I guess it wouldn't work as a econo guage on a NA engine.

No?

I just got an 83 and I'm wondering why my boost gauge stay lit up all the time, any suggestions!

The hot wire is always hot and the light turned on with a pressure switch on the ground wire. Find the switch near the cruise control unit. Unplug the electrcial connecter and see if the lights go out.

Hey b4black I unplugged it and it went out, does that mean it is bad? what type of switch is this and can I get one at a parts store or is it a dealer item.

Sounds like the switch is stuck closed. It was a dealer item, but I don't know if it's still available. There are aftermarket switchs availble called "Hobbs". They are often used for NOS systems.

84/87 Turbo Regals with the digital dash used thew same switch.
