Is there anything I need to do? The guy is going to put new door pins on it, so he is going to deal with the doors, but I saw a thread with a guy that took out the quarter windows, and all window sills off. Also, what about that strip thing that goes along the upper part of the car around where the window sits? Does that come off, and would new ones need to be painted as well?

Please let me know asap!!

Hopefully I can figure this running weak, and cam sensor thing out before I take it in. I would have had it fixed sooner if I hadnt lost my cell phone and had a couple numbers of people to call.

Wastegate rod comes to mind.

Mine is totally stripped right now. No weatherstripping at all, rear quarters removed, front end, rear end, door handles, mirrors, etc.

hey

the more you strip the better you are going to be. strip it all. bumpers, windows, trim, head lights, tail light, mirrors, handles, locks, weather striping, truck and deck lid, quarter glass, spoiler, wheel moldings. everything. o and dont for get to take the wastegate rod home with you.

Many years ago I had my GN painted and if a part wasn't going to get painted than I took it off. Some people call that a tapeless paint job. Basically what you want to do is somewhat duplicate the factory paint job. I removed all the glass(just left the door glass rolled down) and everything that was bolted down on the exterior like bumpers, grille and fillers were removed. Anything that could get painted seperately came off.All of the weatherstriping was removed and replaced with new pieces. I also removed the entire interior including the dash pad. The shop rigged up some fixtures so the door jambs and trunk gutters and fenders could be painted in one shot. The radiator support and plastic fender wheelhousings were removed and the steel inner fenders were loosened and some spacers inserted so over spray wouldn't ruin the semi glossy-ness of those parts. It was kind of a PITA rolling it around the shop but well worth it in the end.
