Bell housing bolts

What's the spec for the bolts that bolt the bell housing to the engine block?

3/8-16 x 1.375" std hardware store grade 8 bolts

I guess I could have just seen what i had on the engine stand for thread size and then measured. DUH. Mine are in the giant mixed bolt box.

Helpfull tip.... When you engine comes off the stand chuck a 3/8" tap in a drill motor and clean out the holes.


You'll be amazed at how much crap comes out of there! Just have some brake cleaner and compressed air handy.


When you're laying on your back under the car and fighting with the top two bolts, you'll be glad for that step.
