Belt drive , gear drive or timing chain

Could anyone tell me, what to use, and why. Its for a high performance engine.

belts are quiet, eventually break

chains are a little louder, can stretch over time

gears can be very loud and set off knock sensors

i would bet most of the fast guys on here are using high quality chain setups, though i could be wrong.

I run a gear drive for durability.

its loud.... like a dentist drill from hell... and requires oddfire snout cam.

for 90% of street buick, I would imagine a chain would be fine.

I suggest you use a chain.
