How do you remove the tensioner? Any free advice will limit the number of mistakes I make. TIA

with 18mm wrench on the tensioner pulley bolt , push down and take the tension off belt
slip belt off alternator pulley and move belt out of the way

remove alternator:
disconnect battery
there's an alternator support bracket that runs to the header it has a 13mm nut holding it to the header stud.. remove that nut
at top of bracket theres a 15mm bolt and nut ..remove that
remove the nut that that holds the upper rad hose bracket (13mm nut)
if stock intercooler remove bolt from driverside of intercooler bracket (13mm bolt)
slide intercooler bracket off of alternator pivot bolt (you may need to loosen the bracket at the bottom where it attaches to the motor (13mm nut)
remove the long alternator pivot bolt (15mm )
back of alternator :
unplug the field wire connector
remove the wire (s) from the battery positive post (10mm nut)
the alternator can now be removed

the tensioner is held onto the main accessory bracket with two 15mm bolts and it comes right off
