where can i get one mine is making so much noise i think it is setting my knock sensor off it makes this loud popping noiseevery time you rev the engine up

Bummer. That could be several things. The tensioner, however, is available (and suggested to purchased) at your local GM dealer. The P/N is 25532546. Get the upgraded cam-button and replace the gears/chain with steel stock-type (if you haven't already).

I agree with Ray F. If you have the time, get the timing chain/gears and cam button replaced.

its the sepentine belt tensioner

the serpentine belt tensioner is making the loud popping noise

Save some money and replace the bearing in the pulley.Unscrew the pulley and press out the old bearing.Replace with new one.I think it's a 6203.

If not any parts store will have a replacement pulley and new bearing that goes onto the same bolt and mount.

About $12.

depending on what the problem is, I would replace the whole thing. After 14 Years many of them have weak springs which can cause false knock. Napa carries them and they have a new and improved spring now.
