Does anyone bench test a used fuel pump or just replace them?

I dropped mine today for inspection and the hoses seemed fine so i am thinking the pump is worn out.

if your seeing a loss in pressure test the volts going to the pump,if it has been a while replace it.

Thanks for the replies guys. The pump is a Walbro 340 from the end of '09 so it's not ancient but older.
I am leery of just putting in a new pump and having the same pressure drop-off problem.

I will check the voltage KOEO at the pump connection and see what kind of drop i have compared to the battery.

You can test it yourself if you have a power supply (battery charger and a spare battery), a pressure gauge, some way of regulating pressure, a calibrated volume container (paint bucket), and a stopwatch. The basic idea is to time how long it takes to fill the container at specific operating pressures, convert that time/volume into flowrate (in the proper units), and compare that with known pump performance data at the same operating conditions. Can be as simple as checking just one point.

Ok. I found about a 0.25 volt drop with the engine off between the fuel pump connector versus the battery. That doesn't seem too bad to me.
I would think a good pump at even 13 volts could make 60 psi??
