Nope..don't give up.
He has a 400 in the one car but my 2004r's in all the rest. With the parts and technology we have now , the only thing I see holding you back is the wife letting you cut loose some of your hard earned money to purchase. Go to our customer rides section on the PTS website. Ck out Jody Bernards all alluminum 427 NO2 Yenko Camaro. Look at the dyno numbers.
There are several others on there that are impressive too.
If you spend the money on the parts and converter I reccomend , I will be with you the whole way.
Converter combo is going to be the toughy. You are going to have to sacrafice one end or the other in order to Street / strip that combo nicely.
Give me a shout or shoot me an email or show up at Vegas in Oct.
All of which I am approachable at any time.

Thanks for the info and encouragement.I might even put AC in it if all the 5 stage drysump setup and I/C is not in the way.What is the 3rd gear ratio in a 200??I am shooting for 165-170 in the 1/4 with a 30" or 31" tire.I have not bought the gears yet.Is this achievable with a 8000-8500 redline?? you definately are going to be in trouble with a 2004r if you want overdrive.the only thing i can say at this level our gm aod hybrid overdrive transmission or a turbo 400.the gm aod is being used in 8 second renegade cars right now as a 3 speed without problems.
