just wanted to know what is the best drag radial for a 87 gn rim
an what are some of your et's on them?

Hands down the new Mickey Thompson drag radial. I have them mounted on widened stock GN rims, and left with both front wheels dangling in the air. They are soft so they dont last as long as a Nitto, thats for sure.

drag radial

thanks for the reply

mt' drag radial is that the same tire as the et-street tire

I 2nd that!

something you may need to be aware of, though: the mickey thompson et street radials are NOT dot approved. therefore, they are not street legal. but that may not matter if you are only using them for track.

MT DR's are DOT

Mickey Thompson's legendary race tire technology comes to the street with these all-new ET Street Radial tires. Built using the latest in high-tech radial construction techniques and years of drag racing experience in compound development, these DOT approved, street legal drag radials will get your car down the track in record time and still provide you with an excellent ride on the way home. Other important features include reduced rolling resistance, a low-void directional tread pattern for maximum dry-weather traction, and polyester ply/steel belted construction for long lasting strength and durability.

the et streets are DOT as well (barely)

Now you can get Mickey Thompson ET Drag Race tire performance in a D.O.T. approved, bias-ply street legal tire. These ET Street tires were designed specifically for NMCA, Easy Street, and Outlaw Street competition, but they're ideal for any class that uses a street-type race tire. They have a special tread compound that Mickey Thompson says outperforms other D.O.T. race tires, and considering how good the original ET Drags are, we don't doubt them. Other ET Street features include state-of-the-art, two-ply wrinkle wall construction on a black nylon bias-ply carcass.
-----
the et drags arent DOT as they are pure slicks

well that doesn't make sense. on the same page, it says dot approved & not dot approved. guess i'll just have to look for myself next time i see some.
