I bought my 87 limited in Phoenix 2 years ago. The climate dried out the seal around the rear window, and although it does not leak at all, it does make an annoying squeak, just due to road travel and vibration. It only comes from the pasenger side corner, as it will stop when I press on it there. Anyone know an easy fix for this, short of having a glass company replace the seal? Can I wedge something between the corner of the glass and the trim? Thanks.

Sounds like the old butyl sealant has dried out! The best thing to do is remove the glass and old sealant and reset the glass using a modern urethane sealant. Hope this helps!

rear glass

I had this noise on another GM vehicle. It turned out to be the window molding rubbing against the glass. Might try to shim out with some popsicle sticks to check the noise. Find a glass guy who will swing by after hours for a whole bunch of cold ones to reset your glass.

Is there a tech article somewhere on how to do this yourself?

While I'm all for DIY it cost me $40 bucks to have this done at a local trim shop. The Urethane will cost you around $20 to buy and you need a special tool to cut the old sealant.

I think I will try some shims around the corner where it is noisy. If that doesn't do it, I will ask around at auto glass shops. Forty dollars is not worth my own time and trouble and potential for screwing up! Thanks to all for the input.
