best head gaskets for gn1 heads to stock block

need opinions for best gasket to use for gn1 heads on a stock block.have used rjc steel shims before

Saying any one gasket is the best is tough.........


I run the Cometics with good results. Studs and 85-95 Ft/Lbs all around. No retorque.

Yesterday I put my GN1's on a 109 block using Jason's secret goo and the shims. This is the first time I've tried it and I was impressed with the sticky stuff and am confident it'll live up to it's reputation. Other's have used it and report nuttin but success.

Why don't you want to use it again?

do you put on dry or copper spray. do you use silicone around the water jackets,with cometics

I put em on dry. If you don't feel comfortable with that use the copper spray.

the steel shim leaked. I don't like the idea of re-tourqing all of the time due to driving mostly on the street and showing anymore.

Cometics and copper spray here, Make sure if the heads were milled that they use the real fine stones, If they use the mormal caurse stones it leave to rough a finish for cometics.
