I have 009's in the car right now, and they suck! Some people have told me to go down to blue tops, and some have told me to go up to MSD 50's. This is mostly a street car and I would like to keep it very streetable. Also, let me know what chips you recommend with each injector.

Your to the stage of making HP, 55s, and a Translator Plus. Get an extender chip, and you can dial it in.

I will give you 50 bucks for those 009's if they are that bad :)

Kidding... Seriosly though, how much would you want for them if you were to sell them? I am interested.

Thats what I am using. Seem to work ok for me.

Nothing,
but if you got a 44 why not use all the turbo you got?.
On a car I tinkered with the other day with a stock turbo, and I/C we were out of fuel at 20 PSI, with 009s.

Why not get enough injector to leave some room for tuning and future updates?. After running 40s, I went to the 55s, and they are just so much easier to work with, since I don't have to play the F/P game, just twist the dials an go.

I have some just a tic smaller, that I'll let you have for $350 LOL
Matter of fact I got a stock set I'll trade for a set of 72s straight across....

I have a TE44.

I used to run 37# ers and ran out of fuel (went 11.9 @ 115 on them though).

Now I have 48#ers and the car is happier.

Well...I was out of injector at 12.0 with a 44 and the Blue Tops, some have taken the Blues to the mid 11's but it wasn't going to happen on my car.

So, if you HAVE to make a move go to the 50's or the 55's as suggested above. I had good luck with the 50's, PTE-44 and a Joe Lubrant chip. I also think the 50's with the Translator Plus with Extender chip is a super sweet setup.

However, I am betting that you just haven't found the perfect chip for those 009's. Those injectors should take you into the 11's and they are a good match for the 44 - assuming you get the calibration right, they can be tricky.

ohhh boy here we go :)

...old blues all the way if your gonna leave the 44....mid 11s @118-121 in street trim :)

Huh - we've covered this ground previously? :)

I think TurboMike, UNGN yourself and others have done that mid-11 "thang" with the Blues.

I had fuel pressure at 53 line off with flat 760's down at the big end - no knock. I just didn't have the rocks to push them any further in my 3,720 lb. GN :)

hahahaha hiya Lance....ya been threw a lot of "blue top" threads....some guys like em some dont ;) ...I think they are good for a simple set up (11 sec car) ...we have gone low 11s on them BUT I wouldnt recomend that :) ....Melissa has been runnin mid 11s for years with them....she is climbin up the food chain now though :)
